About these terms

These Terms and Conditions describe the general rules for Slushy Box ATL’s food-truck sales, customer interactions, website use, and youth workforce development activities in the City of Atlanta, Georgia. “Slushy Box ATL,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the legal business/operator identified above.

Purchase terms will be made available before a purchase and apply when you place an order after receiving them. Program terms apply through the applicable enrollment or participation process, with parent or guardian involvement where required. Simply browsing our website does not constitute consent to optional marketing, a media release, or the waiver of any legal right.

Specific written event agreements, program documents, or employment documents may provide additional terms. The more specific agreement controls for its subject matter if a conflict arises, subject to applicable law. These general terms do not override an employee’s statutory rights or change an existing employment agreement.

Food-truck products and service

We offer food, beverages, and related products according to our current menu and availability. Menu items, flavors, ingredients, portions, operating locations, and service hours may change.

Posted prices apply at the time an order is accepted. Applicable taxes and any additional charges will be disclosed before payment. Tips are voluntary unless an expressly disclosed service charge applies.

We may decline or cancel an order when an item is unavailable, payment cannot be processed, a pricing error requires clarification, or fulfilling the order would create a safety or legal concern. We will notify the customer where reasonably possible and refund amounts paid for products we do not provide.

We may correct an obvious pricing error before accepting an order. If we discover an error after payment but before fulfillment, we will explain the correction and obtain your agreement or cancel the affected item and refund its purchase price.

Allergies and dietary needs

Please tell a staff member about food allergies or dietary restrictions before ordering. Ingredient information can be requested before purchase.

Products may contain allergens or be prepared using shared surfaces, utensils, equipment, or ingredients. Unless we expressly confirm otherwise for a specific product, we do not represent that our preparation environment is allergen-free or that a product is appropriate for every dietary need.

If we cannot safely meet an allergy-related request, we will explain that limitation rather than promise an accommodation we cannot provide. This section does not excuse inaccurate ingredient statements, negligent preparation, or any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Payments, order concerns, and refunds

Payment is due when an order is placed unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise. Accepted payment methods will be displayed at the point of sale or communicated before payment.

If an order is incorrect, missing an item, damaged, or appears unsafe, please notify staff promptly or contact us using the details above. Providing a receipt, order information, or a description of the problem helps us review your concern, but this does not limit rights available under applicable law.

Because prepared food and beverages are perishable, we generally do not accept physical returns for resale or provide refunds solely for a change of mind after preparation. For a verified problem attributable to us, we will offer an appropriate correction, replacement, or refund. Please do not consume a product you believe may be unsafe.

Cancellation of a routine order may be possible before preparation begins; please ask staff as soon as possible. Event deposits, advance-order cancellation charges, and special refund rules apply only if disclosed and agreed to before payment.

These provisions do not limit legally required remedies or your right to raise a legitimate payment dispute. We encourage you to contact us so we can attempt to resolve the issue directly.

Events and advance bookings

If we accept an event booking or advance-service arrangement, the date, location, service scope, price, deposit, payment schedule, cancellation rules, and any rescheduling terms will be stated in a separate written confirmation or agreement. An inquiry alone does not reserve a date.

The event organizer must arrange any venue permissions, access, utilities, or other site requirements assigned to the organizer in that agreement. We remain responsible for permits and operating obligations assigned to our business by law.

Severe weather, equipment failure, venue restrictions, emergencies, or other circumstances may require us to modify or stop service for safety. We will communicate material changes as soon as reasonably possible. If we cannot provide prepaid service, we will offer an agreed rescheduling arrangement or refund for the unprovided portion, subject to applicable law and the specific written agreement.

Youth workforce development

Slushy Box ATL’s youth workforce development activities may include supervised training, mentoring, job-readiness instruction, customer-service skills, food-service education, and work experience. The activities actually offered, eligibility criteria, schedule, supervision, and expectations will be explained in the applicable program materials.

Applying does not guarantee admission, employment, wages, a stipend, certification, academic credit, or continued placement. Any paid role, stipend, or other compensation must be explained separately in writing before participation begins.

Program participation does not determine whether someone is an employee under applicable law. Calling an activity “training,” an “internship,” or a “volunteer opportunity” does not remove wage, safety, recordkeeping, or other legal obligations.

Eligibility and parent or guardian involvement

Participants must meet the age and other eligibility requirements stated for the specific program. We will obtain required parent or guardian permissions and required work authorization or employment certificates before applicable activities begin.

For participants under 18, enrollment materials will describe parent or guardian involvement, emergency contacts, and applicable arrival and departure arrangements. Parent or guardian permission does not authorize otherwise unlawful work or waive a young person’s legal rights.

Safety, supervision, and permitted tasks

Participants must follow food-safety, sanitation, equipment-use, and workplace instructions. They must promptly report injuries, unsafe conditions, illness affecting safe food handling, harassment, or other concerns to a supervisor or the contact listed above.

Work assignments, hours, equipment access, and supervision must comply with applicable age restrictions and safety requirements. Participants may not drive the food truck, operate restricted equipment, handle hazardous materials, or perform any other restricted task unless legally permitted for their age and specifically authorized through our safety procedures.

Supervision alone does not make a prohibited task permissible. We will not require participants to perform tasks that applicable law prohibits.

Conduct and equal opportunity

We expect respectful conduct toward participants, employees, customers, and community partners. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, threats, theft, violence, and deliberate unsafe conduct are prohibited.

We may pause or end participation when necessary to address serious safety concerns, misconduct, or eligibility issues, consistent with applicable law and the program’s procedures. Where appropriate, we will communicate with the participant and parent or guardian and provide an opportunity to discuss the concern.

Nothing in these terms prohibits protected workplace discussions, lawful reporting to government agencies, requests for reasonable accommodation, or good-faith complaints. We do not permit unlawful retaliation for raising a concern or exercising a protected right.

Employment and compensation

Employment offers, pay rates, timekeeping, wage payments, breaks, benefits, and other employment conditions are governed by applicable law and separate employment documents. Required compensation is not conditioned on completing the program or agreeing to publicity.

Participants must accurately report time worked according to the timekeeping procedures provided. Concerns about pay, hours, or assignments should be reported promptly, but a failure to report a concern immediately does not waive any legal right.

Transportation and emergencies

Transportation, supervision outside scheduled activities, and authorized pickup arrangements will be addressed in separate enrollment materials. Do not assume that transportation or off site supervision is included.

Emergency-contact details and any necessary emergency authorization will be collected through separate program forms. These terms do not provide blanket medical consent or release us from responsibility for participant safety.

Photos, recordings, and testimonials

Participation, employment, or purchasing a product does not automatically authorize us to use an identifiable person’s photograph, voice, video, or testimonial in advertising. We will seek a separate, optional release for identifiable youth publicity and obtain parent or guardian permission where required.

Declining a publicity release will not by itself affect program eligibility or employment. A release should explain the permitted uses and how to request that future use stop.

Website and intellectual property

You may use our website for lawful, personal, informational, and transaction-related purposes. You may not attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the site, submit fraudulent information, impersonate another person, or misuse another person’s personal information.

Our name, logos, original website materials, and other protected content belong to us or their respective owners. No ownership or commercial-use permission is transferred through a purchase or program participation. Uses permitted by law are not restricted by this provision.

Links to third-party services are provided for convenience. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control their independent practices.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle customer, website-visitor, applicant, and participant information. Optional marketing and publicity permissions are separate from agreeing to these terms.

Responsibility and legal rights

We will use reasonable care in providing products and conducting our activities. Website information is general information and is not a promise that every product, location, or program opportunity will always be available.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, waives wage or child labor protections, replaces workers’ compensation requirements, or releases claims arising from negligence, unlawful discrimination, or other conduct for which the law provides a remedy. These terms do not include a mandatory arbitration clause, class-action waiver, or general personal-injury release.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and display a revised effective date. Updated purchase terms apply to future transactions, not retroactively to accepted orders.

Material changes to an ongoing program or existing agreement will be communicated through the applicable program or agreement process. We will obtain new agreement or consent when required; posting revised terms alone does not change an existing employment agreement or expand a publicity release.

Governing law and questions

These terms are governed by Georgia law and applicable federal law, and our Atlanta operations are also subject to applicable City of Atlanta ordinances and other local requirements. Nothing in these terms takes away protections that another applicable law requires or requires a complaint or claim to be brought in a forum prohibited by law.

Please contact Slushy Box ATL using the details at the top of this page with order concerns, program questions, or complaints. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the

remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
